One-on-One in the Wind: Wind Cave Hike Recap

April 2025

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t the biggest—they’re the most personal. That was definitely the case for our Wind Cave hike in Logan Canyon this past April, where just one amazing girl signed up… and we had the absolute best time.

The trail to Wind Cave is a springtime favorite, winding through Logan Canyon with sweeping views, cool breezes, and plenty of wildflowers starting to bloom. The weather gifted us with sunshine and just enough wind to live up to the cave’s name. The trail was quiet, the sky was blue, and the conversation? Effortless.

With just the two of us, the hike felt like a soul-refreshing catch-up with an old friend—even though we had just met on the February Local GOAT. We stopped to admire the scenery, took breaks when we needed to, and eventually made it to the cave, carved right into the limestone cliffside. Standing inside the arched opening, looking out over the canyon below, we both felt that familiar spark that reminds us why we do this: the outdoors has a way of connecting people, whether you’re in a group of ten or just two.

It would’ve been easy to cancel when only one person signed up. But this hike reminded us that showing up—even when it’s small—can still lead to something memorable and meaningful.

So to the adventurous woman who joined us: thank you for saying yes. You made Wind Cave wonderful.
