Hello, I’m Carrie, your fearless G.O.A.T leader based in Salt Lake City, UT. I specialize in planning & hosting adventure trips for women who want to get out and explore the world around them. My journey in travel & adventure started when I was a child, and as my curiosities grew, so did my sense of adventure. After hosting my first unofficial G.O.A.T. trip in the fall of 2023, I was determined to continue providing opportunities for women to travel, explore, network, and adventure together…and thus, Girls Only Adventure Trips was formed.
As your fearless G.O.A.T leader, I focus on ensuring that you have the best adventure possible.I take on all of the planning and stress so that you don’t have to. I am Wilderness First Aid and Basic Life Support CPR certified and have studied to be a travel advisor, so I can take care of you both on and off the trail. I enjoy curating trips with specific experiences in mind, so each trip will have a different vibe. Some trips may be more chill (think: enjoying a glass of wine overlooking a beautiful sunset with some shorter leisurely hikes or experiences) while other trips may be more advanced and pedal-to-the-medal (think: sunrise to sunset days, lengthy hikes with elevation gain, and a lot of sweat). I enjoy getting women out of their day-to-day routines, building character through experiences, exploring new areas, seeing new landscapes and cultures, and making lifelong friendships.
My motivation comes from knowing that there is more to life than monotonous daily routines and sitting behind a computer. I find great satisfaction in helping other women get out and explore the world around them. Sometimes we end up in our own mundane routines of carpool lines, corporate Zoom meetings, and Costco runs that we forget to stop and take in the beauty of the world around us. I created Girls Only Adventure Trips so that women have a safe space to travel with other women without having to worry about kids fighting in the backseat or whether their husband is going to drag them to a NASCAR race (no offense to you NASCAR lovers!). These adventure trips are for the wives, mothers, sisters, cousins, coworkers, and friends to enjoy time with other women and explore the world around them.
Outside of work and adventure trips, I am married to my husband, Donovan, and we have a silver lab puppy named Shadow. We live outside of Salt Lake City and enjoy traveling (obviously!), binge-watching a good television crime documentary series, margaritas, and Mexican food.
